Role : Kafka Developer (Confluent)

Band : B3

Location : Bangalore / Chennai / Hyderabad (PAN India mobility preferred)

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Kafka Developer with strong hands-on expertise in the Confluent Kafka ecosystem. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and manage distributed messaging and streaming platforms, while building scalable solutions for enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Deploy, manage, and optimize Confluent Kafka clusters in production environments.

- Design and implement Kafka Streams and real-time data pipelines.

- Troubleshoot and optimize Streams-based applications for performance and reliability.

- Build and manage Producers and Consumers, offering consultation on integration.

- Work with Kafka Connectors, KSQL, and KStreams for advanced streaming use cases.

- Implement solutions in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Automate platform management using tools such as Starfleet.

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, real-time data platforms.

Required Skills :

Mandatory :

- In-depth expertise in Confluent Kafka ecosystem (Kafka, Connect, KSQL, KStreams).

- Hands-on experience in Kafka Streams creation and troubleshooting.

- Proven experience in building Producer/Consumer applications.

Additional Skills :

- Container Orchestration : Kubernetes

- Container Technologies : Docker

- Automation Tools : Starfleet (or equivalent automation framework)

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills

Qualifications :

Experience : 10- 15 years

Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Prior experience in large-scale, distributed, real-time systems
