Junior Python Developer - AWS Lambda

About the Role :

We're seeking a motivated Junior Python Developer to join our team with around 3 years of relevant work experience. We are a cloud-native, document processing and decision-making platform. You'll contribute to feature enhancements, bug fixes, and testing for our microservices-based backend built on AWS Lambda.

Key Responsibilities (What you will be doing) :

- Write, debug, and fix issues in the code following established patterns

- Develop comprehensive unit tests using Python's unittest framework

- Work with AWS services including API gateway, OAuth2.0, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3

- Follow code review processes and maintain high code quality standards

- Take full ownership of the job

- Collaborate with team members on architectural decisions and implementation approaches

Key Expectations (What you bring) :

- 3+ years of professional Python development experience

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Knowledge of Design Patterns

- Familiarity with document processing (PDF, Word, Excel)

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

- Nice to have: Basic understanding of LLM interactions and AI/ML concepts

Required Technical Skills :

- Testing: Experience with unittest framework and test-driven development practices

- Web APIs: Understanding of REST APIs, JSON handling, and HTTP protocols

- Databases: Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB preferred) and database operations

- Version Control: Proficiency with Git for collaborative development

- AWS: Basic familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway)

- Authentication / Authorization: Experience and knowledge of OAuth 2.0 (JWT, API keys)

- Docker: Understanding of containerization concepts and Docker usage

- JSON Schema: Experience with data validation and schema design
