About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Backend Engineer with strong Python programming skills to join our growing engineering team.

You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to develop, maintain, and enhance backend services and APIs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Python and related frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services for web and mobile applications.

- Assist in database design, query optimization, and integration with SQL/NoSQL databases.

- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality features.

- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.

- Assist in code reviews and learn from feedback provided by senior engineers.

- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

- Document APIs, backend workflows, and system design as required.

- Troubleshoot and debug issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members.

- Learn and adopt best practices in software development, coding standards, and design patterns.

- Stay updated with the latest Python libraries, frameworks, and backend technologies.

- Take initiative to improve processes, tools, and efficiency within the engineering team.

Required Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- 23 years of experience in Python backend development (internships and academic projects are acceptable).

- Knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

- Understanding of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols.

- Basic understanding of version control using Git
