Senior Java Development Team Lead Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and motivated Senior Java Development Team Lead to join our dynamic technology team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can drive technical excellence, mentor developers, and contribute significantly to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Development :

- Lead a team of Java developers in the design, development, and maintenance of mission-critical applications.

- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the development team, ensuring adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.

- Hands-on development of high-performance, scalable enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies.

Team Support & Mentoring :

- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical assistance to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

- Assist the team in technical issues, problem solving, debugging, and performance tuning (5+ years of experience required in this area).

- Facilitate effective requirements mapping and translation of business needs into technical specifications.

Architecture & Design :

- Contribute to the architectural design and strategic planning of new features and systems.

- Ensure the successful deployment and integration of all services, focusing on security, stability, and scalability.

Process & Methodology :

- Drive the use of Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage and deliver projects efficiently.

- Participate actively in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, estimation, development, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications and Attributes :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team to achieve project goals and maintain high quality standards.

- Deep understanding of object-oriented design principles, concurrency, and distributed system concepts.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
