SIDGS is seeking a Java Quarkus Backend Developer with a strong background in Cloud-Native Microservices architecture and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend applications, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and available.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend microservices using Java and Quarkus.
- Build cloud-native applications that are scalable, reliable, and highly available.
- Implement reactive programming patterns using Mutiny.
- Develop event-driven and message-driven services using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Optimize applications for performance using GraalVM and native image builds.
- Implement data access layers using Quarkus Panache with Hibernate ORM.
- Manage builds and dependencies using Maven, with a clear understanding of build lifecycles.
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services in production environments.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Strong hands-on experience with Quarkus Framework (mention version if applicable).
- Experience with Mutiny (reactive programming).
- Working knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ for message-driven architecture.
- Experience with GraalVM for high-performance Java runtime.
- Familiarity with Quarkus Panache for ORM with Hibernate.
- Good understanding of Maven lifecycle, including clean install vs clean package.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and cloud-native development.
- Familiar with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices.
