Java Lead - LIMS Application

Role :

We are looking for an experienced Java engineer to enhance and scale our LIMS application. This role focuses on optimizing Java code, improving application performance, and implementing scalable architecture using Azure services such as Application Gateway, Load Balancers, caching, and queuing.

Technical Requirements :

- 10+ years of experience in Java development with strong expertise in Object-Oriented Programming and cloud-native design principles.

- Proficiency in Spring Boot, Quarkus, or similar Java frameworks.

- Hands-on experience in optimizing and scaling enterprise-level Java applications.

- Strong knowledge of software security, including identifying and resolving vulnerabilities.

- Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

- Proficiency in SQL databases with experience in query optimization.

- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS or jQuery), CSS3, and HTML5.

- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including :

1. Compute, Storage, Database, and Serverless services

2. Caching (Azure Cache for Redis) and Queuing (Service Bus, Event Grid, etc.)

3. Application Gateway, Load Balancer, and scaling strategies

4. Monitoring and diagnostics (Application Insights, Log Analytics)

5. Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

6. Strong exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Bitbucket.

- Proficiency with Linux command line and system troubleshooting tools.

- Strong understanding of application performance, fault tolerance, and high availability in production environments.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to document and present technical solutions effectively.

- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with distributed teams.

Good to have skills :

- Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) or LIS (Laboratory Information System).

- Experience refactoring legacy Java applications for scalability.

- Masters in computer science or related field.
