Job Overview :

Terralogic is looking for experienced Java Developers with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.

The ideal candidate will have strong backend development expertise and experience building scalable, distributed, and event-driven applications. You will work closely with engineering, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise-grade backend services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Design and develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.

- Implement event-driven architectures and solutions using Apache Kafka.

- Develop database solutions and perform database operations using PostgreSQL.

- Containerize applications using Docker.

- Deploy, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot applications running on Kubernetes (RKE2).

- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.

- Troubleshoot application and production issues and provide effective solutions.

- Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.

- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Architecture, and other cross-functional teams.

- Contribute to technical discussions, design decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Skills :

Candidates must have hands-on experience with :

- Java

Good to Have :

- Experience with any of the following technologies will be an added advantage :

Experience & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.

- Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.

- Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Practical experience developing and integrating REST APIs.

- Experience working with Kafka/event-driven systems.

- Good knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

Project Commitment :

- Due to the nature and continuity requirements of the project, selected candidates are expected to provide a minimum 18-month commitment to the project, with a potential commitment of up to 24 months, depending on project requirements.
