We are currently partnering with a confidential, industry-leading client to source a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Engineer to join their core engineering team. What You'll Bring (Must-Have Skills) :

We are looking for a seasoned engineer with a minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in backend software development, who is ready to take ownership and mentor others.

Core Engineering Expertise :

- Deep Backend Fundamentals : Expertise in building and scaling distributed systems, and a strong grasp of API and Backend Software fundamentals

- Programming Mastery : Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java and extensive knowledge of frameworks like Spring Boot. Proficiency in Python is also required.

- System Integration : Expertise in designing and implementing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and experience with various communication protocols including SOAP and modern REST APIs.

- Asynchronous Processing : Solid experience with messaging queues and stream processing technologies like Kafka and Flink. (Please ensure these keywords are clearly mentioned in the candidate's CV/Resume).

DevOps & Delivery :

- Agile & CI/CD : Proven background in an Agile environment and strong skills in DevOps practices, including setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

- Containerization & Orchestration : Hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes.

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Monitoring : Familiarity with IaC principles and robust experience with system monitoring and logging tools.

Leadership & Collaboration :

- Ownership & Mentorship : Proven ability to own components end-to-endfrom design and development to deployment and support. Demonstrated experience in effectively mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.

- Problem-Solving : Exceptional skills in debugging, complex problem-solving, and technical root cause analysis.

- Cross-Team Collaboration : Strong communication and collaboration skills to successfully partner with product, frontend, and other cross-functional engineering teams.
