Job Description : Were looking for a hands-on Senior Java Engineer with strong experience building scalable microservices on AWS and orchestrating complex business workflows using Camunda.

In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy resilient backend services, model business processes using BPMN and DMN, and collaborate closely with product and platform teams to deliver high-impact features with measurable reliability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities :

- Design & Build Microservices : Design, develop, and maintain clean, testable, and maintainable microservices using Java (preferably Java 11+/17) and frameworks such as Spring Boot or similar. Ensure services follow best practices for modularity, scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

- Workflow Orchestration : Model, implement, and optimize complex business workflows using Camunda. Create, maintain, and version BPMN process definitions, DMN decision tables, and external task workers. Ensure efficient execution, error handling, and performance tuning of orchestrated processes.

- Cloud Engineering on AWS : Architect, deploy, and operate services on AWS using technologies such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, and Secrets Manager. Ensure solutions are scalable, observable, cost-efficient, and production-ready.

- APIs & Integrations : Build robust RESTful APIs and event-driven components using technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis. Integrate microservices with internal and third-party systems securely, reliably, and in a maintainable manner.

- Quality & Reliability : Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure correctness and reliability. Enforce code quality standards, maintain test coverage, participate in code reviews, refactoring, and performance optimization initiatives.

- DevOps & CI/CD : Own deployments and release pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins, along with Docker and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Continuously improve deployment reliability, delivery speed, and operational stability.

- Observability & SRE Practices : Implement structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing using tools such as ELK, CloudWatch, X-Ray, Prometheus, and Grafana. Define SLIs and SLOs, support incident resolution, and perform root cause analysis to improve system resilience.

- Security & Compliance : Apply security best practices including input validation, secure authentication and authorization, secret management, least-privilege access, and encryption at rest and in transit. Support audit and compliance requirements where applicable.

- Collaboration & Mentorship : Work closely with product owners, QA, architects, and platform teams to groom backlogs, estimate work, and deliver features end-to-end. Mentor junior engineers and promote strong engineering practices across the team.

- Documentation : Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including API specifications, architecture diagrams, ADRs, and BPMN/DMN artifacts.

Qualifications :

- 6+ years of professional backend development experience with Java

- Strong expertise in microservices architecture, including service decomposition, API design, and resilience patterns such as retries, timeouts, and circuit breakers

- Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on AWS

- Strong practical experience with Camunda BPMN/DMN modeling and workflow orchestration

- Proficiency with Spring Boot, REST APIs, ORM/JPA, and SQL/NoSQL databases

- Understanding of event-driven and asynchronous architectures.

- Familiarity with security best practices including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and IAM

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with ownership mindset
