Java Backend Developer

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Developer with strong hands-on programming expertise and the ability to deliver high-quality, low-defect code. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently shipping features with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java (1.8+) and Spring/Spring Boot.

- Implement robust APIs and backend services following best practices.

- Work on Word document generation/manipulation using Apache POI, docx4j, or similar libraries.

- Handle HTML rendering, CSS styling, JavaScript integration, and image embedding within documents.

- Work with XML and Office Open XML (OOXML) standards for DOCX manipulation.

- Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices (no dedicated QA support).

- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to clean coding standards.

- Optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure application security.

Required Skills :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java (1.8+) and Spring/Spring Boot

- Strong foundation in Data Structures & Algorithms

- Expertise in Object-Oriented Design & Design Patterns

- Experience in entity/domain modeling & database schema design (SQL & NoSQL)

- Strong knowledge of API-driven system design

- Understanding of web security vulnerabilities & performance tuning

- Experience with Git or similar version control systems

- Exposure to Agile methodologies and code quality practices

- Working knowledge of AWS / GCP / Azure
