About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering skills with a focus on building robust, scalable backend services. You will be involved in designing, developing, and deploying high-performance applications using modern technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain backend services using Java or Kotlin, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Design multi-threaded architectures and implement web services, caching mechanisms, and event-driven pipelines.

- Deploy applications in modern environments utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a strong emphasis on unit and integration testing.

- Apply Object-Oriented Design principles and design patterns to build efficient backend solutions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software.

- Monitor and troubleshoot backend services to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java or Kotlin.

- Strong understanding of multi-threaded programming, web services, caching strategies, and event-driven systems.

- Proven experience deploying and managing applications using containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

- Expertise in writing unit tests and integration tests with a customer-first mindset.

- Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and common design patterns.

- Experience working in hybrid work environments, with availability to work onsite 1 to 2 days a week in Bangalore, Whitefield.
