The Java App Developer is a dedicated technical role requiring 4 6 years of total experience (with 4+ years relevant experience), focused on developing and maintaining critical applications.

Based in Hyderabad, this role is essential for supporting live production environments, demanding strong expertise in Java and web technologies, coupled with exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills.

The incumbent will be a key contributor to application stability, requiring the ability to quickly diagnose complex issues using error logs and monitoring tools.

Job Summary :

We are looking for an App Developer with strong expertise in Java and web technologies to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in application development, production support, troubleshooting, and analyzing error logs. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace and SPLUNK is a significant advantage. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities and Development Deliverables :

- Application Development : Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable applications using Java and associated web technologies (e.g., Spring framework, Servlets, REST/SOAP services).

- Production Support and Troubleshooting : Provide primary and secondary support for applications running in production environments, including performing system checks, responding to incidents, and ensuring application uptime.

- Error Analysis : Utilize strong troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose application defects, performance issues, and system failures. This includes a deep understanding of error logs (UNIX, Java Stack Traces) and exception reporting.

- Monitoring and Diagnosis : Leverage familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and SPLUNK to analyze application metrics, track distributed transactions, and identify root causes of performance degradations or errors.

- Stakeholder Collaboration : Effectively communicate technical issues, status updates, and resolution plans to technical teams, management, and multiple stakeholders.

- Code Maintenance and Optimization : Conduct regular code reviews, refactor existing code for improved performance and maintainability, and ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.

- Core Technology : Strong expertise in Java programming language.

- Web Technologies : Proficiency with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience building web applications or services.

- Communication : Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Skills (Good To Have - Not Mandatory) :

- Support Experience : Experience with production support activities, incident management, and change control processes.

- Troubleshooting : Demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills in a live production environment.

- Log Analysis : Solid understanding of error logs from both application (Java) and infrastructure (UNIX) levels.
