About the Role :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Test Engineer to join our quality assurance team.

In this role, you will be responsible for testing web, mobile, or API-based applications to ensure a high-quality product.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify defects early in the software development lifecycle and help maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze business and technical requirements and develop test plans and test cases accordingly.

- Perform manual testing of web and/or mobile applications to validate functionality, usability, and performance.

- Execute various testing types such as functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing.

- Document and track bugs using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.

- Assist in the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts (basic automation knowledge expected).

- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of Agile teams.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Conduct basic API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.

- Contribute to improving QA processes and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- 25 years of hands-on experience in software testing.

- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and various testing methodologies.

- Good understanding of manual testing processes, including writing test cases and defect reporting.

- Experience with at least one test management tool (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Xray).

- Basic experience or understanding of automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar (a plus).

- Working knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or REST-assured.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.

- Strong communication and documentation skills
