About the Job :

The Programmer Analyst II will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of business applications within the SAP ecosystem, primarily focusing on SAP Fiori and SAP UI5 technologies. The individual will collaborate with functional teams, contribute to solution design, and ensure stable, scalable, and high-quality application delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

- Participate in the development and rollout of new SAP functionality and enhancements.

- Develop, configure, and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, ensuring adherence to governance and best practices.

- Build reusable components, custom controls, and extend standard SAP applications when required.

- Work on SAP OData services, gateway configurations, and backend integrations.

- Perform effective black box and unit testing for all developed artifacts.

- Participate and support functional testing, regression testing, and UAT cycles.

- Ensure code quality through peer reviews, performance validation, and debugging.

- Ensure clear, timely communication with technical, functional, and business stakeholders.

- Document technical designs, development processes, change logs, and release notes.

- Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality solutions.

- Follow organizational development standards, coding guidelines, and project governance protocols.

- Ensure adherence to all company policies (Health, Safety, Quality).

- Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and secure handling of all sensitive IT and business information.

- Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats.

- Work effectively under pressure with changing priorities and strict deadlines.

- Demonstrate proficiency in IT department tools, processes, and technologies.

- Understand and support the companys strategic business and IT direction.

Education & Experience Requirements :

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

- 35 years of hands-on experience in SAP Fiori and SAP UI5 development.

Expanded Technical Skills (Required & Preferred) :

Core SAP Technical Skills :

- Strong experience with SAP Fiori, SAP UI5, and SAP Fiori Elements.

- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Responsive Web Design principles.

- Hands-on experience with SAP Gateway and development of OData services (CRUDQ operations).

- Understanding of SAP NetWeaver, SAP Business Suite, and SAP S/4HANA architecture.

- Familiarity with SAP BAS (Business Application Studio) or SAP Web IDE.

Backend & Integration Skills :

- Experience with ABAP (especially for OData service creation and backend logic).

- Knowledge of RFC/BAPI/BADI enhancements and SAP enhancement frameworks.

- Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and integration patterns.

Development Tools & Version Control :

- Proficiency with Git-based repositories (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).

- Experience with build and deployment tools such as Grunt, Gulp, NPM, Yarn, etc.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for SAP development (Transport Management, automated deployments).

Testing & Debugging Tools :

- Familiarity with QUnit, OPA5, and other UI5 testing frameworks.

- Experience with browser debugging tools (Chrome DevTools, SAP UI5 Diagnostics).
