Job Description IT Operations Manager

About the Role :


We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead our infrastructure operations, NOC, data center functions, audiovisual systems, and unified communications. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience from large, global organizations and will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, service reliability, and strong governance across IT operations.


Key Responsibilities :


IT Operations & Infrastructure Management :


- Lead end-to-end IT operations covering infrastructure, network, data center, unified communications, AV, and end-user services.


- Oversee 247 NOC operations, monitoring systems (e.g., METIS or similar platforms), proactive alerting, and real-time incident handling.


- Manage server rooms/data center activities including availability monitoring, capacity management, patching, and preventive maintenance.


- Ensure high availability and performance of global IT systems through strong operational governance.


Service Delivery & Incident Management :


- Drive incident, problem, and change management in alignment with ITIL best practices.


- Ensure timely RCA, remediation plans, and communication for critical incidents.


- Optimize operational workflows, reduce escalations, and ensure consistent SLA adherence.


- Collaborate closely with global teams (SRE, AV, SysTech, Network, InfoSec) to deliver scalable infrastructure and AV solutions.


Compliance, Governance & Finance :


- Ensure STPI/SEZ compliance, documentation, and statutory reporting.


- Manage IT operations budgeting, data center inventory, cost controls, and financial governance.


- Lead contract/vendor management, RFQs, procurement, equipment lifecycle, and annual renewals.


- Oversee link administration, bandwidth management, and telecom/ISP coordination.


Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management :


- Build, mentor, and manage high-performing cross-functional teams across NOC, AV, UC, DC operations, and service desk.


- Provide leadership during outages, escalations, audits, and key operational reviews.


- Interface with senior engineering leaders, business heads, and external vendors with strong communication and stakeholder engagement.


Must-Have Qualifications :


- 1015 years of strong IT operations and infrastructure leadership experience, ideally in large, global organizations.


- Proven leadership covering NOC, Data Center, AV, Unified Communications, and IT Finance functions.


- Expertise in project management, incident response, and operational process optimization.


- Experience in STPI/SEZ compliance, data center inventory/budget management, vendor and contract management.


- Hands-on experience managing 247 NOC operations and alerting/monitoring platforms (e.g., METIS or similar).


- Demonstrated ability to partner with global engineering/SRE/AV/SysTech teams.


- Exceptional people management and experience leading cross-functional teams.


- Strong communication and senior-level stakeholder management skills.


- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and operational best practices; ITIL or PMP certifications strongly preferred.


Good to Have :


- Experience in financial domain (investment banking, fintech, asset management, or high-tech environments).


- Exposure to automation initiatives, infra monitoring improvements, and workflow optimization.


- Prior experience managing multi-location/global operational teams and driving enterprise-scale transformation.
