Role Summary:
The IT Infrastructure Lead is responsible for designing, managing, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure across Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, multi-cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP), and on-premise environments. The role ensures high availability, security, scalability, and alignment of IT architecture with business objectives while leading operations, support teams, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Enterprise Architecture & Strategy:
- Define and maintain enterprise IT architecture covering cloud, on-prem, network, security, and collaboration platforms.
- Design hybrid and multi-cloud architectures ensuring scalability, resilience, and cost optimization.
- Align IT architecture with business goals, compliance, and security standards.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, standards, and roadmaps.
2. Microsoft 365, Exchange & Identity Management:
- Lead administration and optimization of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Manage Exchange Hybrid / On-Prem Exchange environments where applicable.
- Oversee Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), Group Policies, and identity lifecycle management.
- Implement SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity security best practices.
3. Multi-Cloud Platform Management:
- Architect, deploy, and manage workloads across OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Evaluate cloud services, select appropriate platforms, and manage cloud governance models.
- Monitor cloud performance, availability, security, and cost (FinOps).
- Lead cloud migrations, DR strategies, and cloud-to-cloud integrations.
4. On-Prem Infrastructure & Operations Support:
- Oversee on-premise servers, virtualization, storage, backup, and data center operations.
- Ensure smooth integration between on-prem and cloud systems.
- Manage patching, performance tuning, capacity planning, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Define and test backup, DR, and business continuity plans.
5. Security, Compliance & Governance:
- Enforce IT security policies, access controls, and hardening standards across environments.
- Support compliance with organizational, regulatory, and industry frameworks.
- Coordinate security assessments, audits, and remediation activities.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and incident response procedures.
6. IT Operations & Service Management:
- Lead incident, problem, change, and capacity management activities.
- Ensure SLA adherence, system uptime, and service quality.
- Drive automation, standardization, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and executive summaries.
7. Team Leadership & Vendor Management:
- Lead and mentor IT operations, cloud, and support teams.
- Act as escalation point for critical incidents and outages.
- Manage vendors, MSPs, and cloud service providers.
- Review contracts, SLAs, and performance of external partners.
8. Documentation & Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, architecture documents, and operational guides.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and modernization. Stay updated on emerging cloud, security, and infrastructure technologies. Mentor junior IT staff and provide support to end-users as needed. Generate reports on system and infrastructure performance, uptime, security incidents, and system enhancements. Develop & deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) to the IT management team. Prepare high-level executive reports to support management decision-making in infrastructure, support services, and project delivery.
