Role Overview :

The IT Infrastructure Engineer will serve as a senior technical lead responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of the company's critical IT landscape in Nigeria. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of data centers, cloud environments, and network security frameworks to ensure high availability and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, local site managers, and global stakeholders to align infrastructure capabilities with business objectives. By driving operational excellence and implementing scalable systems, you will directly impact the reliability of field operations and the security of enterprise data across the region.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and manage complex IT infrastructure services to ensure seamless connectivity and performance for remote and on-site industrial operations.

- Direct large-scale IT operations and data center management, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical business applications and services.

- Implement and enforce robust network security protocols to protect sensitive corporate and operational data against evolving cyber threats.

- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of IT asset management, from procurement and deployment to decommissioning, ensuring optimal resource utilization.

- Oversee cloud infrastructure migrations and maintenance to provide scalable, cost-effective computing resources for regional teams.

- Manage IT incident response and resolution processes, minimizing downtime through proactive monitoring and effective root cause analysis.

- Execute IT project management duties, ensuring that infrastructure upgrades and deployments are delivered within scope, budget, and timeline.

- Standardize ITIL-based service management processes to improve service delivery efficiency and internal stakeholder satisfaction.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing enterprise-grade IT infrastructure, including deep knowledge of server administration, virtualization, and storage area networks.

- Proven ability to design and maintain secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, specifically within high-stakes industrial environments.

- Strong proficiency in cloud infrastructure platforms and hybrid-cloud integration strategies to support distributed workforce requirements.

- Exceptional project management capabilities, with a track record of leading complex, multi-site infrastructure deployments from conception to completion.

- Advanced understanding of ITIL frameworks and their practical application in optimizing IT operations and incident management workflows.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements for non-technical leadership and local operational teams.

- Ability to thrive in a demanding, on-site environment in Nigeria, demonstrating high adaptability to local operational challenges and regional regulatory requirements.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field, complemented by 14 - 20 years of progressive experience in infrastructure leadership roles.
