Role Purpose :


The Head of IT is a senior leadership role responsible for building, stabilizing, and scaling a centralized IT organization that supports GlobalSteps global delivery model. This role is accountable not only for operational excellence but also for transforming IT into a proactive business enabler that improves productivity, collaboration, and scalability while maintaining cost discipline.


Role Scope :


- End-to-end ownership of IT across infrastructure, network, endpoint, collaboration, service desk, and enterprise platforms


- Leadership of Pune-based centralized IT team with coordination of global site support


- Ownership of IT budgets, vendor ecosystem, and platform strategy


- Accountability for service quality, uptime, and user experience across all studios


Key Responsibilities :


- Define and execute a multi-year IT roadmap aligned to business growth and operational needs


- Build a scalable operating model leveraging centralization, automation, and standardization


- Establish strong service management discipline including SLAs, KPIs, reporting, and governance


- Drive platform consolidation and reduce fragmentation across tools and systems


- Ensure high availability and resilience of infrastructure and workplace systems


- Lead vendor selection, negotiations, and ongoing performance management


- Partner with Security Lead to ensure secure-by-design technology environment


- Communicate IT strategy, risks, and performance to executive leadership


Candidate Profile :


- 1218 years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in leadership roles


- Proven ability to scale IT operations in a multi-location/global organization


- Strong technical foundation across infrastructure, M365, networking, and IT operations


- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and transformation initiatives


- Strong leadership presence and stakeholder management capability
