Position Overview :

We are seeking a IoT & Backend Developer with hands-on experience in backend development and exposure to IoT data processing. The role involves building and enhancing real-time, scalable backend services for an Industrial IoT platform. The candidate will work on telemetry ingestion, API development, and cloud-based data processing systems using Azure PaaS services. This position requires someone who can independently deliver features, contribute to design discussions, and work within an existing architecture to build reliable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

1. IoT & Real-Time Data Processing :

- Develop and maintain IoT telemetry ingestion and processing pipelines.

- Work with event-driven systems using Azure IoT Hub / Event Hub.

- Ensure data reliability, correctness, and basic performance optimization.

2. Backend Development :

- Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Implement asynchronous and event-driven workflows.

- Contribute to multi-tenant backend systems with proper data handling.

3. Database & Data Modeling :

- Work with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB and MongoDB.

- Design and implement data models for telemetry and asset data.

- Write efficient queries and support performance improvements.

4. Azure Platform Development :

- Develop and deploy services using Azure Functions, Azure App Services, and Event Hub / IoT Hub.

- Work within defined cloud architecture and deployment patterns.

5. Engineering Practices & Quality :

- Write unit tests and support integration testing.

- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.

- Debug and resolve issues in development and production environments.

- Use GitHub for version control and collaboration.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3 to 6 years of experience in backend development.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language: 1. C# (.NET Core / ASP.NET) 2. Python 3. Node.js.

- Strong understanding of REST API development and backend service architecture.

- Hands-on experience with Cosmos DB or MongoDB.

- Working knowledge of Azure services: Azure IoT Hub / Event Hub, Azure Functions, and Azure App Services.

- Basic understanding of event-driven architecture and IoT telemetry processing.

- Experience with Git-based workflows (GitHub).

- Ability to write unit tests and debug issues effectively.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience in Industrial IoT / Manufacturing domain.

- Familiarity with IoT protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, OPC-UA.

- Exposure to microservices architecture and real-time streaming systems.

- Understanding of time-series data handling and performance optimization techniques.

- Basic knowledge of authentication, authorization, API security, logging, monitoring, and observability tools.
