InvestCloud is looking for a Senior Release Engineer to join our team.
In this high-impact, senior individual contributor role, you will be the driving force behind our release orchestration, dependency management, and production readiness across multiple systems and applications.
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with a passion for computing who can evaluate our current environment, define and optimize our release processes, and implement industry best practices.
Operating with significant autonomy, you will influence delivery outcomes and drive alignment across multi-disciplinary engineering and business teams without direct people management responsibilities.
Role & Responsibilties :
- Own end-to-end release orchestration across multiple applications, environments, and systems.
- Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or similar tools.
- Automate build, deployment, release, and rollback processes to improve release reliability and efficiency.
- Manage release dependencies, deployment sequencing, versioning, and change requirements across applications.
- Ensure production readiness through deployment validation, release checks, and environment readiness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD, deployment, configuration, and release-related issues.
- Work with AWS/cloud infrastructure to support application deployments and release activities.
- Coordinate technically with Development, QA, and Platform/Operations teams to ensure successful releases.
- Evaluate existing release processes and implement improvements in automation, standardization, and deployment practices.
- Support production releases and participate in the assigned on-call rotation for release and deployment issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support :
- Report to the Manager of Platform Operations while effectively interfacing with development, QA, and operations teams.
- Drive alignment and execution across cross-domain enterprise releases.
- Maintain best practices for technical operations and actively participate in team brainstorming sessions.
- Provide off-hours on-call support as needed by following an assigned on-call calendar.
Requirements & Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release automation, change management, and software engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with modern release and orchestration tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and deployment methodologies.
- Flexibility to work an assigned to work in an US Shift - 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM IST.
