About the Position :

- Our platform orchestrates trucks, rakes, GPS devices, FOIS/ULIP feeds and enterprise workflows for some of Indias largest shippers.

- Under the hood, its Node.js + MongoDB + Kafka + Temporal + AWS, powering real-time logistics at scale.

- We are hiring a Backend Lead who can design and own core services, and lead backend engineering best practices across the team.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Architect and build backend services using Node.js (Express/Fastify), MongoDB, and Kafka.

- Design clean service boundaries, APIs, and data models for multi-tenant SaaS.

- Own performance, reliability and security for your services (SLOs, latency, uptime).

- Work with DevOps on deployment, observability and incident response.

- Lead and mentor 24 backend/full-stack engineers via reviews and technical guidance.

- Collaborate with Product and domain experts to shape how logistics flows are modelled in the system.

Skills Required :

- 48 years of backend engineering experience in product companies.

- Strong hands-on experience with:

1. Node.js in production (Express/Fastify or similar)

2. MongoDB (schema design, indexing, performance tuning)

3. RESTful APIs, authentication, authorization

- Exposure to Kafka or other message queues (producers, consumers, retries, DLQs).

- Good grasp of distributed systems basics (idempotency, eventual consistency, error handling and retries).

- Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, networking basics).

- Education: Tier-1 engineering college.
