Role & Responsibilities :
- Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, highly available infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Assess business and technical requirements and translate them into appropriate infrastructure and solution architectures.
- Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents, architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
- Design and manage solutions across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, databases, backup, disaster recovery, and security.
- Architect and implement cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend modernization, optimization, migration, and automation opportunities.
- Lead cloud migration, data-center transformation, infrastructure modernization, and technology adoption initiatives.
- Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, availability, security, compliance, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with application, security, DevOps, network, database, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and customers to understand requirements and provide technical recommendations.
- Conduct technology evaluations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and feasibility assessments for new infrastructure technologies.
- Establish infrastructure standards, architecture principles, and best practices across projects.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Preferred Candidate Profile :
- 8-10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud infrastructure, systems architecture, solution architecture, or a related technology role.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing enterprise infrastructure and hybrid-cloud solutions.
- Hands-on expertise with one or more major cloud platforms : AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of networking, compute, storage, virtualization, operating systems, databases, backup, DR, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Experience with technologies such as VMware, Kubernetes/containers, Linux, Windows Server, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, Active Directory, and enterprise storage.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM), configuration management, and automation.
- Experience developing HLD/LLD, architecture diagrams, technical proposals, and solution documentation.
- Strong understanding of HA/DR, business continuity, scalability, resilience, monitoring, observability, and performance optimization.
- Experience with cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, and cost optimization is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, VMware, Kubernetes, or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
