About the Role :

We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Architect / Senior Engineering Manager to lead the architecture and engineering of large-scale enterprise IoT and distributed systems platforms supporting 1600+ distributed sites.

The role requires deep expertise in scalable distributed systems, event-driven architectures, microservices, buffering systems, edge-to-cloud platforms, and enterprise-grade reliability engineering.

The candidate will drive architecture strategy, platform scalability, multi-tenant system design, and end-to-end solution delivery across IoT, Edge AI, Cloud, and Industry 4.0 ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect scalable multi-tenant enterprise platforms for IoT, Edge Computing, and Industrial systems.

- Design Kafka/message-driven buffering architectures for burst handling, replay, reliability, and high throughput.

- Define microservices decomposition, API contracts, domain-driven architectures, and distributed workflows.

- Lead cloud-native deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure.

- Design scalable database architectures including partitioning, sharding, and high-availability strategies.

- Drive Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) including latency, throughput, resiliency, observability, SLA/SLO, RTO/RPO.

- Build highly reliable systems with replication, failure recovery, idempotency, and data durability guarantees.

- Lead engineering teams across architecture, delivery, DevOps, and platform modernization initiatives.

- Collaborate with customers, business stakeholders, OEMs, and ecosystem partners for solution definition and execution.

- Provide technical leadership in Industry 4.0, Edge AI, Enterprise AI, Telematics, and connected systems.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong expertise in Distributed Systems Architecture.

- Hands-on experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ/NATS and event-driven architectures.

- Strong C++ programming skills (C++14 or later).

- Experience in Microservices Architecture, REST/gRPC APIs, Protocol Buffers.

- Kubernetes, Docker, container orchestration, auto-scaling, traffic management.

- Cloud Architecture experience in AWS/Azure/GCP.

- Multi-tenant platform architecture and scalability design.

- Database architecture expertise in PostgreSQL/MySQL/Time-Series DBs.

- Reliability engineering, fault tolerance, backpressure, circuit breakers.

- Observability stack : ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing.

- Strong understanding of buffering, replay, partitioning, and high-throughput systems.

Preferred Skills :

- MQTT, Mosquitto, IoT protocols, LWM2M, CoAP.

- Edge AI / Physical AI systems.

- CQRS, Event Sourcing, Kafka Streams, Flink.

- Industry 4.0, Smart Factory, Automotive Telematics, OT/IT systems.

- AI/ML integration, Agentic AI, Edge inference platforms.
