Solution Architect DevOps Platform Engineering

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect DevOps Platform Engineering to design and lead scalable cloud-native platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role will be responsible for defining platform architecture, driving DevOps transformation, establishing automation and engineering standards, and enabling development teams through secure and reliable internal platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and architect enterprise-grade cloud-native platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

- Define scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available cloud infrastructure architectures.

- Establish architecture standards for Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and platform engineering.

- Design and implement reusable infrastructure and automation frameworks using Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.

- Architect enterprise CI/CD platforms using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.

- Drive the design and adoption of Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) and self-service capabilities.

- Define developer experience frameworks including Backstage, Golden Paths, and reusable platform components.

- Design Kubernetes-based platforms using EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift, Helm, ArgoCD, and related technologies.

- Establish GitOps architecture and deployment strategies.

- Design observability frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, Splunk, and OpenTelemetry.

- Define SRE practices, including SLAs, SLOs, reliability metrics, incident management, and operational readiness.

- Establish cloud security and DevSecOps architecture covering IAM, secrets management, container security, policy as code, and security scanning.

- Lead platform modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate platform engineering solutions.

- Identify architectural risks, technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and scalability challenges.

- Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.

- Mentor DevOps engineers, platform engineers, SREs, and technical leads.

- Collaborate with engineering, security, product, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or related domains.

- Strong experience architecting solutions across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.

- Strong experience with Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar IaC technologies.

- Expertise in CI/CD and DevOps automation.

- Strong understanding of GitOps, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code.

- Experience with EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift, Helm, and ArgoCD.

- Experience designing Internal Developer Platforms using technologies such as Backstage, Crossplane, and Golden Paths.

- Strong knowledge of observability and SRE practices.

- Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and Policy as Code.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, networking, and cloud-native architecture.

- Strong scripting/programming experience with Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Experience leading large-scale DevOps/platform transformation programs.

- Strong architecture governance and technical leadership experience.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable platform solutions.

- Experience mentoring senior engineers and technical leads.

- Relevant AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications are desirable.
