Key Responsibilities :


- Lead the architecture and development of highly scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and modern application design principles.

- Define technical architecture, application design patterns, coding standards, development frameworks, and engineering best practices across multiple technology teams.

- Design and implement distributed, resilient, highly available backend systems capable of handling high-volume transactions and complex business workflows.

- Drive modernization of legacy Java applications into scalable, modular, API-driven and cloud-ready architectures.

- Provide hands-on technical leadership across the complete software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, code reviews, testing, deployment, performance optimization, and production support.

- Design and govern enterprise-grade RESTful APIs, integration frameworks, event-driven architectures, and service-to-service communication patterns.

- Work closely with product managers, engineering leaders, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Lead the design and implementation of microservices-based architectures with appropriate service boundaries, communication patterns, resiliency, observability, and fault tolerance.

- Drive backend performance optimization, scalability improvements, concurrency management, memory optimization, database performance, and application tuning.

- Establish best practices around clean code, design patterns, SOLID principles, domain-driven design, testability, maintainability, and engineering quality.

- Provide technical direction for full-stack application development, including integration with modern frontend frameworks where required.

- Review complex technical designs and provide architectural guidance to senior developers, technical leads, architects, and engineering managers.

- Identify technology risks, architectural bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and opportunities for platform and application modernization.

- Drive engineering initiatives involving containerization, CI/CD, automated deployments, infrastructure integration, and cloud-native application development.

- Ensure applications follow enterprise standards for security, authentication, authorization, data protection, logging, monitoring, and compliance.

- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts, technology evaluations, and design workshops.

- Mentor and coach senior engineers and architects, building strong technical capabilities across engineering teams.

Technical Expertise :

- Strong and extensive experience with Core Java, Java 8/11/17+ and advanced Java programming concepts.

- Deep expertise in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security and Spring-based enterprise application development.

- Strong experience designing and implementing Microservices architectures.

- Expertise in REST APIs, API gateways, service integration, asynchronous communication, and distributed systems.

- Strong understanding of Java concurrency, multithreading, JVM internals, memory management, garbage collection, performance tuning, and application profiling.

- Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns including Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, Layered Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, and distributed system patterns.

- Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or equivalent platforms.

- Strong database expertise across relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra or equivalent technologies.

- Experience with ORM and persistence frameworks such as Hibernate, JPA and Spring Data.

- Strong understanding of database design, indexing, query optimization, transactions, concurrency, and data consistency.

- Experience with containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated deployments, source-code management, and release management.

- Experience with cloud-native application architecture and at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Strong understanding of application security, OAuth2, JWT, authentication, authorization, encryption, secure API design, and OWASP principles.

- Experience with observability tools and practices covering application logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, metrics, and production diagnostics.

Full Stack Exposure :

- Strong backend expertise is mandatory, along with the ability to understand and guide full-stack application development.

- Experience working with modern frontend technologies such as React.js, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.

- Ability to define effective frontend-backend integration patterns and API contracts.

- Understanding of frontend architecture, state management, performance optimization, security, and scalable UI application design.

- Ability to collaborate with frontend engineering teams and provide architectural direction across the complete application stack.

Architecture & Engineering Leadership :

- Own and drive architecture for large, complex and business-critical applications.

- Define technology roadmaps and guide long-term platform modernization initiatives.

- Evaluate existing systems and identify opportunities for re-engineering, refactoring, scalability improvements, and technology transformation.

- Establish reusable frameworks, platforms, libraries, APIs, and engineering accelerators.

- Drive architecture governance and ensure engineering teams follow agreed technical standards.

- Lead resolution of critical production issues and complex technical challenges.

- Influence engineering strategy and technology decisions across multiple teams and business units.

- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate technology investments, engineering priorities, and architectural trade-offs.
