Infosys - C++ Developer - System Programming

Description :

We are looking for a skilled C++ Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain highperformance software solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in C++ concepts, data structures, and systemlevel programming, along with experience working on complex, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C++

- Write efficient, reusable, and highperformance code

- Analyze system requirements and translate them into technical solutions

- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues

- Optimize application performance, memory usage, and stability

- Implement multithreading and concurrency where required

- Work with systemlevel APIs, libraries, and frameworks

- Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed

- Write unit tests and support integration testing

- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (Product, QA, DevOps)

- Maintain documentation throughout the software lifecycle

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11 / C++14 / C++17 or later)

- Solid understanding of :

1. ObjectOriented Programming (OOP)

2. Data Structures & Algorithms

3. Memory management (pointers, heap/stack)

- Experience with STL (Standard Template Library)

- Debugging using tools like GDB / Visual Studio Debugger

- Knowledge of multithreading and concurrency

System & Platform Knowledge :

- Experience working on Linux / Windows

- Familiarity with build tools :

i. CMake / Makefiles

- Understanding of operating system concepts

ii. Processes

iii. Threads

iv. Synchronization

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- Experience with systemlevel or embedded development

- Knowledge of network programming (TCP/IP, sockets)

- Experience with realtime or highperformance systems

- Familiarity with one or more domains :

c. Gaming

d. Telecom

e. Embedded Systems

- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python / Bash)

- Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

Tools & Technologies :

- Version Control : Git

- IDEs : Visual Studio / CLion / Eclipse

- Static code analysis tools

- Unit testing frameworks (Google Test, Catch2)
