Job role : Senior Java Spring Boot Developer

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in backend architecture, transactional systems, event-driven design patterns, and database optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality enterprise-grade solutions.

We are also looking for someone who is comfortable leveraging modern AI-powered developer tools such as Gemini Code Assist, GitHub Copilot, or similar coding assistants to enhance engineering productivity and code quality.

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs following industry best practices.

- Implement API versioning strategies to ensure backward compatibility.

- Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI standards.

- Develop transactional systems using Spring Transaction Management to ensure data consistency and integrity.

- Work with Spring Data JPA for ORM mapping and efficient database interactions.

- Write optimized SQL queries and improve database performance where required.

- Implement CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation) patterns where applicable.

- Design and develop applications using event-driven architecture principles.

- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following clean architecture principles.

- Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.

- Manage project dependencies and build processes using Maven or Gradle.

- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Gemini Code Assist, GitHub Copilot, or similar plugins to improve development efficiency.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decision-making.

- Collaborate with frontend teams, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

- Solid understanding of REST API development and API lifecycle management.

- Experience with Spring Data JPA and relational databases.

- Strong knowledge of SQL query writing and database optimization techniques.

- Hands-on experience with Spring Transaction Management.

- Good understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging concepts.

- Familiarity with CQRS design patterns.

- Experience writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.

- Proficiency with Maven or Gradle build tools.

- Strong understanding of scalable system design principles.

- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong focus on code quality, performance, and clean architecture practices.

Good to Have Skills :

- Knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration.

- Experience developing GraphQL APIs.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
