Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and reliable software solutions using C programming.

- Work extensively with networking protocols, L2/L3 networking concepts, and socket programming.

- Analyze and troubleshoot complex software and networking issues in Linux environments.

- Debug and resolve critical defects using tools such as GDB and Linux debugging utilities.

- Investigate customer-reported issues and provide effective solutions within defined timelines.

- Handle customer escalations, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Develop and optimize solutions involving data structures, algorithms, memory management, and system-level programming.

- Write Python scripts for automation, debugging, testing, and operational support.

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to identify and resolve complex system issues.

- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality, reliability, and maintainability.

- Identify potential reliability and performance issues and proactively implement improvements.

- Mentor and guide junior engineers on technical concepts, debugging methodologies, coding practices, and networking fundamentals.

- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.

- Take ownership of complex technical problems and drive them through investigation, resolution, and deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4 - 7 years of hands-on software development experience.

- Strong programming experience in C.

- Strong understanding of computer networking fundamentals, particularly:

1. Layer 2 (L2) and Layer 3 (L3) networking

2. TCP/IP

3. Network protocols

4. Socket programming

5. Client-server communication

- Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.

- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using GDB.

- Good scripting experience in Python.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to independently investigate and resolve complex software and system-level issues.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
