Backend Technical Lead - Java Microservices & Cloud Platform

Role Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Backend Technical Lead to lead backend architecture, engineering standards, and delivery execution for enterprise-scale distributed applications.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Java ecosystem technologies, microservices architecture, cloud-native platforms, distributed systems, DevOps collaboration, and enterprise application engineering.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead backend engineering initiatives for enterprise-scale applications

- Define backend architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices

- Design and develop enterprise-grade backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x

- Build scalable microservices-based applications

- Lead asynchronous and event-driven architecture implementation using Kafka

- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline implementation

- Drive containerization and orchestration initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes

- Optimize application performance, database performance, and caching strategies

- Ensure implementation of secure coding practices using OAuth2, JWT, and Keycloak

- Implement monitoring and observability using ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus

- Mentor and guide backend developers and junior engineers

- Participate in architecture reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong expertise in Java 17/21

- Advanced Spring Boot 3.x knowledge

- Deep understanding of Microservices Architecture

- REST API design and governance

- Hibernate / JPA expertise

- Kubernetes and Docker

- AWS cloud platform

- Kafka / Event Streaming

- MySQL / Microsoft SQL Server

- Redis caching strategies

- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions

- Git / Bitbucket

- OAuth2 / JWT / Keycloak

- SonarQube

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in ERP, higher education, or enterprise platforms

- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

- Exposure to Service Mesh and API Gateway implementation

- Knowledge of CQRS/Event Sourcing patterns

- Exposure to analytics or data lake integrations
