We are seeking an experienced AVP - Software Engineering to lead end-to-end application development within the Payments domain.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical leadership with hands-on expertise in secure application development, solution design, API architecture, and team management in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :


Technical Leadership & Architecture :


- Lead end-to-end application development aligned with enterprise architecture, scalability, and performance benchmarks.

- Oversee secure web application development incorporating TLS, AES, and secure coding practices.

- Architect and secure RESTful & SOAP APIs leveraging OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API Gateway tools.

- Assess existing products and propose improvements in technical and architectural areas.

- Conduct detailed analysis of technical and functional specifications.

- Collaborate on business requirement analysis and contribute to solution design with cross-functional teams.

- Conduct regular code reviews and implement SSDLC best practices.

- Ensure timely review of development and testing deliverables.

Team Leadership & Delivery Management :

- Inspire and guide development teams with strong technical and strategic vision.

- Provide periodic updates and executive-level reporting on project statuses.

- Allocate resources based on skill sets and project needs.

- Set KPIs, monitor performance, and deliver constructive feedback.

- Drive effective stakeholder communication and manage expectations.

- Ensure adherence to security, quality, and compliance standards.

Application & Platform Responsibilities :


- Drive development of scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, AngularJS, ReactJS.


- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL / Oracle databases.

- Oversee deployment environments using RHEL, Apache HTTPD, Nginx.

- Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

- Lead integration with payment gateways, banking APIs, and HSM Java libraries.

- Utilize Keycloak for secure RBAC, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect implementations.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal security standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).

- Perform risk assessments, monitor vulnerabilities, and initiate remediation strategies.

- Analyze incidents, perform root cause assessments, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Required Experience :


- Minimum 12+ years of overall experience.

- 10+ years in business requirement mapping, quality analysis, and SDLC - Mandatory.

- Experience working in a high-expectation 247365 environment.

- Knowledge of LC/BG/Trade systems - Desirable.

- Understanding of messaging standards MT15022, ISO20022 - Desirable.

- Strong skills in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio - Mandatory.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

- Expertise in API & Microservices, communication protocols, and middleware - Mandatory.

- Strong understanding of databases and ability to diagnose technical issues.

- Good knowledge of Payments domain regulations and competition.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management capabilities.

- Knowledge of the Banking domain Desirable.

- Passion to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.

Technical Skills :


- Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Spring Security.

- IBM MQ, Application Architecture.

- SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle).

- AngularJS / ReactJS.

- RHEL, Apache HTTPD/Nginx.

- CI/CD Pipelines.

Role Expectations :


- Gain a deep functional understanding of business processes and systems.

- Engage with developers and stakeholders to ensure end-to-end delivery.

- Translate functional requirements into technical specifications.

- Track, manage, and report development progress.

- Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for senior management.

- Maintain application environments with required updates, patches, and service packs.

- Monitor application performance and proactively manage risks.
