Key Responsibilities :


System Administration & Maintenance :


- Install, configure, and administer IBM products (e.g., IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, IBM DB2, AIX, Tivoli, or relevant technology stack).

- Perform routine system health checks, monitoring, patching, and upgrades.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, roles, and security policies.

Performance & Availability Management :


- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

- Conduct performance tuning, load balancing, and capacity planning.

- Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and middleware issues in real time.

Integration & Support :


- Support integration of IBM platforms with enterprise applications.

- Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and IT teams to ensure seamless system

functionality.

- Provide L2/L3 technical support and root cause analysis for system failures or incidents.

Security & Compliance :


- Ensure compliance with IT security standards, policies, and audit requirements.

- Implement security patches, access controls, and encryption for data protection.

- Monitor system logs for unusual activities and take corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting :


- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

- Generate reports on system usage, incidents, performance, and compliance.

Key Skills & Competencies :


- Strong knowledge of IBM products (WebSphere / MQ / DB2 / AIX / Tivoli depending on specialization).

- Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows environments.

- Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, or PowerShell) for automation.

- Familiarity with networking concepts, clustering, and load balancing.

- Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team.

Qualifications :


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 3- 8 years of experience in IBM system administration (depending on role seniority).

- IBM certifications (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator) are a strong plus.

- Experience with ITIL processes and enterprise support practices preferred
