Role Overview :
As an IAM Application Support Engineer at Sysmind Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, developers, and security professionals, to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and maintain the overall health and security of our IAM infrastructure. Your work will directly impact the security posture and operational efficiency of the organization by ensuring authorized access to critical resources.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for IAM applications, resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests within defined SLAs, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Monitor IAM system performance and proactively identify potential issues, implementing preventative measures to maintain system stability and availability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IAM processes and procedures, enabling efficient knowledge sharing and consistent support practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement new IAM features and enhancements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and adherence to security best practices.
- Automate routine IAM tasks using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex IAM-related issues, leveraging your expertise in Active Directory, networking, and cloud technologies to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical IAM incidents, ensuring business continuity.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for IAM systems, protecting sensitive data and preventing unauthorized access.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Identity and Access Management systems, including Active Directory, cloud-based IAM solutions, and related technologies.
- Proven expertise in system administration, including experience with Windows and Linux server environments, networking protocols, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Java, enabling automation of routine tasks and development of custom solutions.
- Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6 - 8 years of experience in Identity and Access Management support and engineering.
