Role Overview :

The Hybrid Cloud Architect is a senior, hands-on role requiring 10- 14 years of experience focused on designing, deploying, and providing end-to-end architectural ownership for large-scale Hybrid Cloud solutions.

Based in Mumbai, the incumbent must possess strong foundational expertise predominantly in Private Cloud (on-premises) infrastructure, complemented by strong experience in either the VMware stack or the Microsoft Azure (including Azure Local) portfolio.

This role demands practical Professional Services Experience with candidates having executed on-the-ground deployments, moving beyond pure strategy or oversight.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Hybrid Cloud Architect with a strong background in architecting and building complex, end-to-end cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have 10-14 years of experience, with a focus on integrating Private Cloud infrastructure (VMware/Azure Local) with Public Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP). This position requires deep technical expertise in virtualization, software-defined infrastructure, and cloud management services to create reusable architectural patterns and frameworks. Suitable profiles often come from specialized infrastructure vendors like Broadcom, Dell, or Microsoft.

Key Responsibilities and Architectural Deliverables :

- End-to-End Architectural Ownership : Drive Solution Architecture focused on Hybrid Cloud, encompassing planning, design, and deployment of resilient, scalable hybrid environments.

- Hands-on Implementation : Lead the Hands-on creation, deployment, and end-to-end architectural ownership of solutions, demonstrating the ability to execute on-the-ground deployments, not just strategy.

- Architecture Pattern Development : Responsible for creating reusable architecture patterns, frameworks, and comprehensive documentation to standardize solution delivery and efficiency.

- Private Cloud Core Expertise : Deep practical experience predominantly in Private Cloud (on-premises) infrastructure, ensuring robust foundational capability.

- VMware Stack Specialization (One Path) : Expert knowledge and hands-on experience across the VMware stack, potentially including vSphere / ESXi, vCenter Server, NSX / NSX-T, vSAN, and hybrid platforms like VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware HCX, or VMware Tanzu for container orchestration.

- Microsoft Azure Specialization (Alternate Path) : Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Azure Arc for hybrid management, Azure Stack Hub / Edge / HCI for on-premises Azure services, Azure Site Recovery, and connectivity solutions like Azure ExpressRoute / VPN Gateway.

- Azure Local Specialization (Alternate Path) : Expertise in Azure Local components such as Hyper-V, Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), Azure Arc Resource Bridge, and AKS on Azure Local.

- Cloud Integration : Possess a blend of both Private Cloud and Public Cloud experience, with Public cloud familiarity (preferably Azure/AWS/GCP) for integration components.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 10-14 years of experience in Solution Architecture and hands-on infrastructure/cloud engineering.

- Core Expertise : Strong experience in Hybrid Cloud (Private Cloud and Public Cloud) and VMware / Microsoft Azure / Azure Local (expertise in at least one required).

- Architecture Practice : Proven ability in Hands-on creation, deployment, and end-to-end architectural ownership (Professional Services Experience).

- Methodology : Full lifecycle experience : from planning, design, to deployment of hybrid solutions.

- Technology Depth : Strong expertise in one of the defined technology domains (VMware or Microsoft Azure/Azure Local).

Preferred Skills and Certifications :

- Containerization : Hands-on exposure to Red Hat and OpenShift platforms.

- Certification Examples : VMware Certified Professional (VCP) (e.g., VCF Administrator 2024, DCV Design 2022) or Microsoft Certified Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Azure Solution Architect Expert).

- Industry Background : Profiles from Broadcom, Dell, and Microsoft are highly desirable.

- Other Certifications : Other relevant infrastructure/cloud certifications.
