HiLabs - Software Development Engineer - Test - UI Testing

Responsibilities :

- Write clean, scalable automation code using core languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.

- Build and maintain robust automation frameworks for Web, API, and Data pipelines.

- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

- Conduct backend validation and data pipeline testing using medium-complexity SQL queries.

- Debug and troubleshoot issues across backend, API, and database layers.

- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA members to ensure full test coverage.

- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes.

- Contribute to functional, regression, and smoke testing activities.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation coverage and test results.

- Keep up to date with industry best practices and tools in quality engineering. MUlti-tasking capabilities and leadership qualities are required.

Desired Profile :

- Experience : 3-5 years in QA/Automation

- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript

- Hands-on experience with Selenium, PyTest, REST Assured, or Playwright

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions

- Proficiency in SQL for data validations

- Good debugging and root cause analysis abilities

- Familiarity with Git workflows and version control

Bonus :

- Exposure to performance/security testing (JMeter, ZAP), BDD tools (Cucumber), and cloud/container basics (AWS, Docker)

- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills
