Role & responsibilities :
- Lead and define the organization's Platform Engineering strategy, roadmap, and technology vision to support scalable and reliable software delivery.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing Platform Engineering and DevOps teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Design and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Drive the development of Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) to enhance developer productivity and streamline software delivery.
- Oversee Kubernetes platforms, container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and cloud-native technologies.
- Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release management, and infrastructure provisioning processes.
- Implement best practices for observability, monitoring, logging, incident management, disaster recovery, and platform reliability.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Security, Architecture, and Operations teams to deliver resilient and scalable platform solutions.
- Ensure platform security, governance, compliance, and cost optimization across cloud environments.
- Define platform standards, automation frameworks, and operational excellence initiatives to improve engineering efficiency.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to modernize the platform ecosystem.
- Drive continuous improvement in platform performance, scalability, availability, and developer experience.
Preferred candidate profile :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering, including leadership experience.
- Strong expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and container orchestration.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD.
- Experience implementing observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or similar monitoring platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration, networking, cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), and disaster recovery.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go (Golang), or Bash.
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, API management, and platform architecture.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and manage complex technical programs.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, CKA, or Terraform Associate are preferred.
