We are seeking an experienced HCX Migrations and NSX Engineer with hands-on expertise in VMware platform migrations and NSX network virtualization. The role involves planning, executing, and supporting P2V/V2V migrations, workload migrations, and infrastructure modernization projects across enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of VMware vSphere, HCX, migration tools, and infrastructure dependency mapping, along with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead physical-to-virtual (P2V) and virtual-to-virtual (V2V) migrations on VMware and Hyper-V platforms.

- Perform workload migrations using VMware HCX, PlateSpin, DoubleTake, Carbonite, or other migration tools.

- Install, configure, and operate VMware vSphere and dependent components.

- Conduct application and infrastructure dependency mapping to ensure smooth migration planning and execution.

- Plan and execute complex migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

- Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and infrastructure issues during and after migration.

- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to ensure successful project delivery.

- Create and maintain technical documentation related to design, architecture, configuration, and operations.

- Ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and enterprise policies during migrations.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 5 - 8 years of experience in VMware platform administration and migration projects.

- Strong hands-on experience with :

VMware HCX, vSphere, NSX
Migration tools like PlateSpin, DoubleTake, Carbonite, etc.
P2V and V2V migrations

- Experience in application and infrastructure dependency mapping for migration planning.

- Solid troubleshooting skills for performance and infrastructure issues.

- Strong understanding of network virtualization using NSX.

- Ability to create technical documentation for design, operations, and architecture.

- Good communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
