Job Title : Hardware Engineer (Server)

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled Hardware Engineer / Hardware Support Engineer with hands-on experience in server hardware, RAID configuration, and data center operations.

The candidate will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of enterprise server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise servers (rack/tower/blade systems)

- Perform RAID configuration, troubleshooting, and rebuilds (RAID 0/1/5/10)

- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to CPU, RAM, storage, RAID cards, and motherboards

- Install, configure, and support Quantum LTO Tape Libraries (L9)

- Manage backup hardware, tape drives, and media handling

- Monitor system health and perform preventive maintenance

- Work on hardware replacements (RMA), firmware updates, and BIOS configuration

- Assist in OS installation and basic configuration (Linux/Windows/Hypervisors like Proxmox/VMware)

- Coordinate with vendors for hardware support and warranty claims

- Maintain documentation for hardware inventory and configurations

Required Skills :

- Strong knowledge of server hardware architecture

- Experience with RAID controllers (e.g., LSI, Intel, Dell PERC)

- Hands-on experience with enterprise servers (Dell, HPE, Supermicro, Intel etc.)

- Familiarity with Linux/Windows Server environments

- Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, NIC configuration)

- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
