Grid Dynamics is looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our growing technology team in Bangalore & Hyderabad.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with modern backend programming languages, cloud-native architecture, and API-driven development.

As part of a global, engineering-centric organization, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and enhance backend services powering enterprise-grade digital products.

You will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable code, implementing best practices, and contributing to high-quality technical solutions that align with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices.

- Build secure, scalable RESTful or GraphQL APIs.

- Integrate backend components with databases, cloud services, and frontend systems.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and DevOps-aligned workflows.

- Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security across services.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and Agile ceremonies.

Experience range : 5 to 10 years.

Programming Languages : Java, Python, Node.js, Go, JavaScript (Node.js).

Web Frameworks : Spring Boot.

Database Management :

- MySQL, SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Vector DBs.

- Relational and NoSQL database expertise.

API Design & Development :

- RESTful APIs, GraphQL, API documentation, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman.

DevOps & Deployment :

- Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions

- Cloud services exposure preferred.

Security :

- JWT, OAuth2, SSL/TLS, HTTPS, secure coding practices.

Frontend Integration (Basic) :

- React, Angular, HTML/CSS/JS (integration understanding).

Testing :

- JUnit, Mocha, Selenium, Postman.

- Unit and integration testing experience.

GenAI (Good to Have) :

- LLM understanding, prompt engineering.

- OpenAI GPT, Hugging Face, LangChain, GitHub Copilot, Cline.

Version Control :

- Git, GitHub, Bitbucket.

Collaboration Tools :

- Jira, Agile/Scrum exposure.

Documentation :

- Technical documentation and API specifications.

- Swagger or similar tooling.

Preferred (Nice to Have) :

- Microservices development (Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Kafka).

- Performance optimization using caching, profiling, and load balancing (Redis, Profilers).
