- Design and implement scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Lead cloud architecture initiatives, including cloud migration, modernization, application transformation, and hybrid/multi-cloud solutions.
- Define GCP architecture standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and best practices across projects.
- Architect solutions using key GCP services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Spanner, Pub/Sub, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Load Balancing.
- Design and implement enterprise networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall policies, VPN, Interconnect, Private Service Connect, and hybrid connectivity.
- Establish robust security and identity architectures using IAM, service accounts, organization policies, Secret Manager, KMS, Security Command Center, and related controls.
- Design high-availability, disaster-recovery, backup, and business-continuity strategies aligned with business requirements and SLAs.
- Drive DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Build, GitHub/GitLab, and deployment automation.
- Develop cloud cost optimization and FinOps strategies, including resource sizing, committed-use discounts, autoscaling, budgets, and monitoring.
- Work closely with application, data, security, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into technical architectures.
- Conduct architecture reviews, identify technical risks, and provide recommendations for performance, scalability, reliability, and security improvements.
- Create High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation roadmaps.
- Mentor cloud engineers and developers and establish engineering best practices.
- Stay current with GCP services, cloud-native technologies, security practices, and industry trends.
Preferred Candidate Profile :
- 8 - 10 years of overall experience in IT, cloud infrastructure, solution architecture, or related technology roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and enterprise cloud architecture.
- Proven experience designing and implementing production-grade GCP solutions for enterprise workloads.
- Strong understanding of GCP networking, IAM, security, compute, storage, databases, containers, serverless, and monitoring.
- Experience with GKE/Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines is highly preferred.
- Good understanding of cloud migration and modernization methodologies, including assessment, landing zones, workload migration, and application refactoring.
- Experience with BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, or other GCP data services is an advantage, particularly for data-intensive environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance, compliance, and identity management.
- Experience implementing HA/DR, backup, resilience, observability, and performance optimization strategies.
- Strong scripting/programming skills in at least one language such as Python, Java, Go, or Bash.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders and communicate complex architectural concepts clearly.
- Google Cloud certification such as Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or Professional Cloud Security Engineer is preferred.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and with distributed/global teams is an advantage.
