Role Overview :

The React.js Engineer - Lead (Frontend) is a high-impact technical leadership role requiring 7+ years of frontend development experience, responsible for architecting and guiding the development of fast, reliable, and beautiful web applications.

This position demands deep technical mastery of the modern React ecosystem (including TypeScript and Next.js), strong proficiency in various rendering strategies, and proven ability to lead projects from design through deployment.

The incumbent will act as the technical backbone for the frontend team, driving clean code standards, smart testing practices, and thoughtful UI/UX decisions.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer passionate about the React ecosystem and dedicated to mentorship and technical leadership. This role involves taking the lead on architecting scalable frontends, guiding a talented team of developers, and collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers. Success requires expertise in complex state management, robust testing (Jest, Playwright), and making informed, data-driven tech stack decisions.

Key Responsibilities and Frontend Architecture Deliverables :

- Technical Architecture Leadership : Lead the architecture and design of scalable frontends, ensuring the delivery of fast, reliable, and high-performance web applications.

- Core Development and Standards : Utilize Strong expertise in React.js with a focus on building highly reusable components and maintaining clean code throughout the application lifecycle.

- Modern Stack Proficiency : Be proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript and leverage modern frontend frameworks, particularly React and Next.js, for complex application development.

- Rendering Strategies : Possess hands-on experience with various rendering strategies, including SSR (Server-Side Rendering), SSG (Static Site Generation), CSR (Client-Side Rendering), and ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration), to optimize performance based on use case.

- Testing and Quality Assurance : Establish and enforce a robust testing culture, utilizing Jest and Playwright for solid unit, integration, and E2E (End-to-End) testing to ensure code reliability.

- API Integration : Demonstrate a deep understanding of REST APIs, with practical exposure to GraphQL or gRPC, and proactively resolve API-related or integration issues during development.

- Project and Team Leadership : Exhibit the proven ability to lead frontend projects from design to deployment. Conduct effective code reviews and maintain a clean codebase.

- Mentorship and Growth : Demonstrate a mentoring mindset by actively participating in Experience running internship or mentorship programs and leading knowledge-sharing sessions.

- Technical Decision Making : Demonstrate the ability to make informed tech stack decisions for new projects based on scalability, maintainability, and business goals.

- Collaboration and Agile Delivery : Strong collaboration with product managers, designers, and backend engineers while being comfortable working in agile environments and delivering projects on time.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 7+ years of frontend development experience.

- Core Framework : Strong expertise in React.js with a focus on reusable components and clean code.

- Language/Ecosystem : Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks like Next.js.

- Testing Tools : Solid experience with Jest (unit/integration testing) and Playwright (E2E testing).

- APIs : Deep understanding of REST APIs.

- Project Leadership : Proven ability to lead and deliver complex frontend projects.

Preferred Skills :

- Advanced APIs : Exposure to GraphQL or gRPC.

- Rendering Strategy : Hands-on experience with multiple strategies (SSR, SSG, CSR, ISR).

- AI/Tools : Familiarity with AI tools like LLMs and how they can enhance development workflows.

- Mentorship : Experience running internship or mentorship programs.
