Job Title : Genesys Cloud CX Test Engineer
Location : Bangalore
Experience Required : 3 - 6 Years
Job Summary :
We are seeking a Genesys Cloud CX Test Engineer to validate voice applications, IVR flows, bots, and integrations within our contact center ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, experience with Genesys Cloud CX, and a good understanding of REST API testing, call flow validation, and automation practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and understand Genesys Architect call flows, IVR logic, and outbound campaign configurations to build test strategies.
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases for voice bots, DTMF inputs, NLP behavior, call deflection, and callback flows.
- Validate Genesys Outbound Dialer configurations including campaign rules, retry logic, and wrap-up codes.
- Perform integration testing for REST API-based Genesys Data Actions, ensuring correct data exchange with third-party systems.
- Conduct functional, regression, and UAT testing for changes in Genesys Cloud components and call flows.
- Use tools like Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent to test APIs; simulate data action requests and responses.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure CI/CD pipelines deploy tested and stable configurations.
- Log, track, and verify defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and reports.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide timely test status updates.
Must-Have Skills :
- Strong experience testing Genesys Cloud CX applications, including Architect call flows and voice bots.
- Working knowledge of REST API testing and JSON payloads.
- Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and ability to coordinate test validations during releases.
- Understanding of DTMF, call routing logic, and IVR testing strategies.
Good To Have :
- Experience with automation frameworks for IVR or API testing.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Git, and version-controlled configuration testing.
- Knowledge of NLP-based voice bots and call behavior validation.
- Basic knowledge of scripting for test automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
Certifications (Preferred) :
- Genesys Cloud CX Certification (Admin/Architect/Test).
- ISTQB or other QA-related certifications.
