Description :

Tech Owner (Java) to lead mission-critical modules within a high-stakes enterprise engagement.

This individual will function as a hands-on technical leader, responsible for driving architecture alignment, technical reviews, and coordination across pods and platforms without direct coding responsibility.

Core Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Core Java (preferably Java 17) with sound knowledge of object-oriented programming, multithreading, and memory management

- Deep hands-on experience with Spring Boot, JSON, XML, and YAML-based configurations

- Strong understanding of RESTful API architecture, including :

1. API security (OAuth, JWT)

2. Performance benchmarking and tuning

3. Logging frameworks and standards

- Robust error handling

- Strong SQL skills with experience in relational databases and query optimization

- Proven exposure to application profiling, performance tuning, and monitoring tools

Key Responsibilities :

- Function as the Technical SME for assigned EPICs and own the end-to-end technical execution

- Review and approve solution designs and user stories with a focus on performance, scalability, and NFR adherence

- Lead technical discussions with interfacing platforms, backend processors, and cross-functional teams

- Drive clarity on service discovery, technical blockers, and integration points across systems

- Collaborate closely with architects, engineering managers, and program stakeholders to ensure solution integrity

- Maintain up-to-date and accurate API documentation and contribute to internal knowledge repositories

- Proactively track technical impediments, align on resolution paths, and escalate where necessary

Role Expectations :

- No direct coding responsibilities; role focuses on technical ownership, reviews, and decision-making

- Requires strong articulation skills for technical concepts, risks, and solution trade-offs

- Ability to work across multiple squads, coordinate dependencies, and ensure engineering best practices are followed

- Ideal for a senior developer or architect transitioning into a leadership-oriented technical role
