Job Title : Full-stack Developer Backend/API Heavy (React + Node.js)

About the Role :

Join Pratt & Whitneys digital team to build a secure, scalable material management platform using React.js, Node.js/Express, and MS SQL.

Youll develop backend APIs, support frontend UI, and contribute to deployment and documentation.

Responsibilities :

Backend (Node.js + Express) :

- Build secure REST APIs with JWT & bcrypt

- Apply middleware (Joi/Zod), error handling, and logging

- Use Sequelize/Prisma/Knex.js for DB integration & migrations

- Apply security (rate limiting, Helmet, CORS)

- Create OpenAPI-compliant documentation

Frontend (React.js) :

- Develop UIs using React 18+, Hooks, Redux Toolkit/Context API

- Style with MUI/TailwindCSS

- Manage forms (React Hook Form + Yup)

- Integrate APIs with Axios, handle tokens

- Write tests with Jest & RTL

DevOps & Collaboration :

- Support CI/CD setup and deployment

- Collaborate in Agile teams (sprints, reviews, documentation)

Requirements :

Must-Have :

- 35 years fullstack experience, backend-heavy

- Node.js, Express.js, React.js, SQL (MS SQL preferred)

- Git workflows, REST API architecture, security best practices

Preferred :

- Bachelors in CS/Engineering

- CI/CD, Docker, Agile experience

- API documentation & backup strategies
