Node JS Full Stack Developer - MERN

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer with at least 2 years of experience building consumer-facing web applications. This is a hands-on role where you will own features end-to-end from design and development to deployment and monitoring. Youll work closely with product designers, fellow engineers, and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions that shape the future of education technology.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications using modern frameworks and tools.

- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into elegant, user-friendly features.

- Own features end-to-end: architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

- Contribute to engineering practices by bringing fresh ideas, opinions, and improvements to the team.

- Ensure high-quality code through unit testing, integration testing, and peer reviews.

- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Participate in continuous evaluation of our tech stack and recommend new tools or frameworks.

- Work in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 2+ years of experience building consumer-facing web applications.

- Strong in full-stack development and ownership of features from start to finish.

- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like Node.js, React.js.

- Familiarity with Redux, Redux-Saga, Sails.js or similar frameworks.

- Experience with databases (Postgres, ElasticSearch, Redis) and messaging systems (RabbitMQ).

- Drive system design discussions and create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for complex features.

- Apply strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills in Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) to design efficient solutions

- Collaborate on system architecture decisions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and security.

- Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

- An eye for design and detail ability to collaborate with designers to deliver visually appealing products.

- Self-starter with curiosity and passion for technology, eager to shape engineering practices.

- Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Nice-to-Have (Preferred but not mandatory) :

- Prior experience with education technology platforms.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

- Knowledge of performance optimization and monitoring tools.
