Job Overview :

We are seeking an OpsRamp SME (Subject Matter Expert) - Technical Services Engineer Expert with 5+ years of experience to provide expert-level support, configuration, and strategic guidance for our OpsRamp IT operations management platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of OpsRamps capabilities, including monitoring, automation, service mapping, and integrations, to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- OpsRamp Platform Expertise : Serve as the primary expert on OpsRamp platform capabilities, architecture, and best practices.

- Monitoring & Alerting Design : Design and implement comprehensive monitoring solutions using OpsRamp for diverse environments including infrastructure, applications, and cloud platforms. Configure and manage advanced alerting, dashboards, and automation workflows.

- Integration Management : Integrate OpsRamp seamlessly with various ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, WSUS) and other critical third-party platforms.

- Collaboration & Requirements : Collaborate effectively with cross-functional IT teams to define precise monitoring requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage across all systems.

- Troubleshooting & Support : Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to OpsRamp agents, collectors, and integrations, ensuring high availability and accuracy of monitoring data.

- Training & Documentation : Provide essential training and create detailed documentation for internal teams on OpsRamp usage, administration, and best practices.

- Strategic Advising : Stay continuously updated on OpsRamp product updates and roadmap, advising on adoption strategies for new features and capabilities to maximize platform value.

- Compliance & Audits : Participate in audits and compliance reviews specifically related to monitoring and observability practices.

- Service Onboarding : Support the seamless onboarding of new services and environments into the OpsRamp platform.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 5+ years of experience in IT operations, monitoring, or observability roles, with a strong focus on platform expertise.

- OpsRamp Expertise : Extensive hands-on experience with the OpsRamp platform and its core modules, including monitoring, automation, and service maps.

- Monitoring Protocols & Concepts : Strong understanding of monitoring protocols such as SNMP, WMI, and APIs, along with familiarity with cloud-native monitoring principles.

- Scripting for Automation : Proven experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automating IT operations tasks and OpsRamp configurations.

- IT Service Management : Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices.

- Analytical & Communication Skills : Excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written), and documentation skills.
