As a Staff II Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing the next generation of BlackLines data-driven SaaS applications and platforms. You will work on high-performance, scalable systems that enable seamless data integration across ERPs, banks, payments, tax, and subledger systems.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader passionate about delivering high-quality, reliable products and driving platform innovation in a collaborative, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native applications and services.
- Drive end-to-end ownership of technical architecture, design, and long-term evolution of the platform.
- Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams to foster technical excellence and best practices.
- Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems that integrate with external platforms and data sources.
- Ensure systems are built for multi-tenancy, extensibility, and high availability.
- Implement DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and container orchestration.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Data Engineering teams to deliver impactful, customer-focused solutions.
- Champion secure coding practices, encryption standards, and identity frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, SSO).
- Optimize data models, pipelines, and performance for large-scale, real-time data systems.
- Lead initiatives on system observability, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, automation, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to strategic technical decisions for platform evolution.
Required Skillsets :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 13- 15 years of experience in full-stack SaaS application development with deep expertise in distributed systems and scalable architectures.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and modern web frameworks (React preferred).
- Hands-on experience with containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, and DevOps automation.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, with practical exposure to cloud-native services.
- Expertise in SQL, NoSQL databases, and message queueing systems.
- Proven experience designing microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns with experience in high-concurrency systems.
- Strong experience with data integration, ETL tools, and real-time data processing.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and mentoring senior engineers
