Founding Technical Lead

Job Description :

We are seeking a Founding Tech Lead to build and scale the entire engineering function for a fast-growing consumer-tech marketplace startup. This is a 01 leadership role, responsible for defining architecture, building systems from scratch, and scaling the platform to support real-world, ops-heavy use cases.

Responsibilities :

- Own and define the end-to-end architecture, building scalable backend systems and distributed services from scratch.

- Lead 01 product development, translating business requirements into robust, production-ready tech solutions.

- Design and optimize systems for marketplace dynamics, including transactions, supply-demand, pricing, and workflows.

- Hire, mentor, and build the initial engineering team (4-6 engineers) while establishing strong engineering practices.

- Partner closely with founder on product roadmap, tech strategy, and execution, balancing speed, scale, and reliability.

Requirements :

- 7-12 years of experience in full-stack engineering.

- Strong experience in building systems from 01 and scaling from 110

- Proven expertise in system design, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.

- Experience working in marketplace, mobility, logistics, or ops-heavy environments.

- Strong backend proficiency (Java / Go / Node.js / Python or similar).

- Ability to balance hands-on execution with architectural thinking and leadership.

- Strong problem-solving ability with a business-first mindset.
