Founding Engineer - Backend Development

Description :

Responsibilities :

- Lead backend design and development APIs, system architecture, data models, and integrations.

- Build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.

- Contribute to frontend development (React/Next.js or similar) where required.

- Collaborate with design and product to convert user needs into technical solutions.

- Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate features based on customer feedback.

- Set engineering standards, structure the codebase, and define early tech processes.

- Take full ownership of features from design to deployment.

Requirements :

- Strong backend development experience (Node/Python/Go/Java or similar).

- Solid understanding of system design, APIs, microservices, and databases.

- Exposure to modern frontend frameworks (React/Next.js or similar).

- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and architectural thinking.

- Ability to thrive in an early-stage, fast-moving startup environment.

- Ownership mindset and willingness to go beyond your lane when needed.

Nice to Have :

- Prior experience in 01 product development or early-stage startups.

- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infra automation.

- Familiarity with caching, queues, event-driven systems, or distributed architectures.

- Interest in mentoring future engineering hires as the team grows.
