ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who can work closely with business and technical teams to understand real-world problems and turn them into scalable technology solutions. As an FDE, you will operate at the intersection of engineering, data, AI, and business - working closely with customers and internal teams to understand problems, build and deploy solutions, and continuously improve them based on real-world outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building from scratch, solving ambiguous problems, and working across different areas of technology.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business problems, translate them into technical solutions, and drive successful deployment.

- Design, build, and deploy scalable applications, workflows, and automation.

- Develop integrations using APIs and third-party systems.

- Work with databases and large datasets to build data-driven solutions.

- Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.

- Debug and troubleshoot application, data, and integration issues.

- Rapidly prototype, deploy, and iterate on solutions based on customer feedback and measurable business outcomes.

- Collaborate with engineering, product, data, and business teams.

- Take end-to-end ownership of projects, from problem definition to deployment.

- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.

- Communicate technical solutions and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 2+ years of experience in software engineering, backend engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical role.

- Strong programming skills in Python or another programming language.

- Strong understanding of SQL, databases, and data modelling fundamentals.

- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and system integrations.

- Experience building and shipping end-to-end technical solutions from requirements to production deployment.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Ability to convert ambiguous business problems into practical technical solutions.

- Strong ownership and ability to work independently.

- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where requirements can evolve quickly.

GOOD TO HAVE:

- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.

- Exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, or Generative AI applications.

- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD.

- Experience with data pipelines or distributed systems.

- Experience in a client-facing technical role.

- Experience taking prototypes or proof-of-concepts into production.
