First American - Engineering Manager - Product Development

Job Description :

The role requires managing cross-functional engineering teams, driving technical excellence, overseeing product development lifecycles, and collaborating closely with product, business, and leadership teams to deliver innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage software engineering teams for successful project delivery.

- Drive end-to-end software development lifecycle including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

- Define technical architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices.

- Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Manage sprint planning, task allocation, code reviews, and delivery timelines.

- Ensure application scalability, performance, security, and reliability.

- Mentor developers and support technical skill development within teams.

- Drive DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and cloud engineering initiatives.

- Monitor project risks, dependencies, and resource utilization.

- Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum methodologies and engineering governance standards.

- Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and solution optimization initiatives.

- Work closely with QA, DevOps, and support teams for seamless product releases.

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong expertise in Software Development and System Design

- Experience with Java / Python / Node.js / .NET technologies

- Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and REST APIs

- Cloud Platforms : AWS / Azure / GCP

- DevOps & CI/CD Tools : Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions

- Database Technologies : SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

- Frontend Technologies : React.js / Angular (preferred)

- Agile/Scrum Methodology

- Performance Optimization & Security Best Practices

- Team Leadership & Technical Mentoring

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- 5-8 years of overall engineering experience with team management exposure.

- Strong experience managing software development teams and delivery operations.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.

- Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

- Experience working in fast-paced product or enterprise environments.
